Marc served in the U.S. Navy as a navigator pilot, Lt.J.G. His career in retailing began as a men’s furnishing buyer at Halle Bros. Department Store. Subsequently, he became the owner of the Captain’s Quarters in Rocky River. He was an active volunteer for many years with the Court Community Service and the Hunger Network of Great Cleveland, a treasurer at The Church of the Savior, and a ten-gallon blood donor to the Red Cross.
