Kevin is the President and Owner of Maher-Melbourne Funeral Home. Kevin is a third generation licensed funeral director and embalmer. He is a graduate of Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science and the National Foundation of Funeral Service.
Community is important to Kevin, who is a former president of the Knights of Columbus local chapter, the Kiwanis Club of Hillcrest, and the One South Euclid, A Community Development Corporation. He is also a member of the Ohio Funeral Directors Association and Cuyahoga Funeral Directors Association.

Kelly Crown is the Vice President and Director of Family Service with Maher-Melbourne Funeral Home. A lifelong resident of South Euclid, Kelly graduated from Brush High School and is now in the process of obtaining her Funeral Directors license. She has been an employee of Maher-Melbourne for over nine years.
Kelly’s duties at Maher-Melbourne involve coordinating the funeral home staff and working directly with the families that we serve. She works on details for each family including completing and filing necessary documents and creating and printing all funeral stationery including guest books, prayer cards, and service folders. After the service, Kelly continues to help families by assisting with any needs and requests that may arise.
“When a family chooses a funeral home they are inviting the staff into what amounts to the most sacred days of their lives,” Kelly said. “Being a part of these days is an honor and a privilege. I am continually moved and strengthened by the families that have passed through our doors. I look forward to each day and the lessons I will learn, the people I will meet, and the help that I can offer.”
As a licensed funeral director and embalmer, Alan is involved in all aspects of service to our families. Alan began working in funeral service during high school when he was employed by a local family-owned funeral home. In 1981 he graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. He is also a 1985 graduate of Cleveland State University with a degree in Business Administration.
We are proud to have Alan as a member of the Maher-Melbourne family. He brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to his work. Most importantly, Alan treats our families with compassion, dignity, and respect.
Dan is a Family Assistant and Property Manager with Maher-Melbourne Funeral Home. Throughout his life, Dan has worked at the funeral home while simultaneously attending school. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Kent State University, and in 2013 his responsibilities at Maher-Melbourne increased to what they are today.
Dan represents the fourth generation of Mahers in the funeral industry. Dan’s current duties are varied, and include property maintenance, funeral assistance, escorting funeral processions, and door attendance.
Anna is a Door Attendant and Hospitality Consultant at Maher-Melbourne Funeral Home, and has been a member of our staff since 2008. Anna serves as a greeter to our families and guests, assuring their comfort while in our care. She has also advised us on the design and décor of our facilities.
Before joining the Maher-Melbourne staff, Anna was a Volunteer Manager at South Pointe Hospital for over 20 years. She is a longtime member of the Mayfield Lions Club. Anna is a pleasure to have on our team, and always has our family’s best interest at heart.
Frank is a Door Attendant and Service assistant with Maher-Melbourne Funeral Home, and has been a member of our staff since 2004. He is a retired architect, and a graduate of the Kent State College of Architecture.
Frank is a lifelong area resident, and a longtime member of the Hillcrest Kiwanis Club. He also volunteers for Meals on Wheels and the Holden Arboretum. It’s this dedication to others that makes him a valued part of our team.
Geri began working with Maher-Melbourne Funeral Home as an independent hairdresser for the deceased in the 1970’s, which is a job she assumed when a relative of hers retired from the position. Geri became a member of our staff in 1996 when she added the responsibility of facility housekeeping to her duties. Geri is an important member of the Maher-Melbourne family, and can always be counted on to perform her work in a high quality fashion.
